The editorial board determines the publication policy and objectives of the journal and is responsible for defining strategic directions and continuously updating them.

The editors-in-chief, relying on the professional activities of the members of the editorial board, manage the daily operations of the journal at the operational level, perform tasks related to publication, and supervise the activities of the secretary of the editorial board and the visual editor. The editors-in-chief are selected through a competition announced by the dean of the Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture, and the decision is made by the Faculty Council. The term of office is five years.

The chair of the editorial board plays a supervisory and coordinating role, ensuring the effective functioning of the editorial board and thus supporting the work of the editors-in-chief, representing the journal in various official matters, and coordinating the scientific and professional activities of the editorial board.

The chair and members of the editorial board are involved in proofreading, selecting and inviting reviewers, providing professional advice, maintaining domestic and international scientific and professional relationships, and connecting the journal with domestic and foreign universities and research institutes. Its members are renowned Hungarian and foreign experts with academic degrees who are highly skilled in a particular field of architectural science. The editorial board meets at least once a year at the invitation of the chair of the editorial board. Membership is based on their professional and scientific activities and their expected contribution to the development and promotion of the journal's network of contacts.

The section editors are professionals with academic degrees in their respective fields, whose task is to ensure the appropriate professional standard of the section they edit and to have manuscripts that fit within the disciplinary framework of the section reviewed by external reviewers or members of the editorial board.

The editorial secretary assists the editorial board in its work and manages the OJS interface. After checking incoming manuscripts for plagiarism and format, the editorial secretary forwards them to the relevant section editor if they are found to be compliant.

The visual editor is responsible for the visual appearance of the journal, the production of cover pages, journal page templates, and bound issues.

The chairperson of the editorial board, columnists and members, as well as the editorial secretary and visual editor, are appointed and commissioned by the editors-in-chief. Their appointment is valid until the editors-in-chief appoints a successor.
